 Pregnancy is a special time in a woman's life and NECC is committed to making it a safe, healthy for both mother and infant. NECC provides pregnant women with a complete review of medical history and examination with appropriate follow-up of normal and abnormal labs by clinicians.
Serial examinations are provided during the course of labor to avoid preventable morbidity. NECC supplies all screenings and interventions consistent with the most rigorous recommendation of the American College of OB/GYN (ACOG), as well as offering Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), ultrasound and referral for general counseling and amniocentesis.
Through the Comprehensive Prenatal Service Program (CPSP), NECC provides pregnant women with nutrition classes, health education and WIC referrals.
Services provided by this program include compilation of complete history of patient, annual physical evaluations, women's cancer screening (including pap smears, breast exams and mammograms with referrals for ultrasound). HIV and other STI screening and counseling is also available, as is screening and inoculation for HPV.
Through our family planning program, men and women of all ages receive complete and comprehensive contraceptive service, including birth control with counseling, pregnancy testing and sexually transmitted infection screening and counseling.
